Grup Alimentari Disteco grows after rename and change the partners

The Catalan distributor of meat products Grup Alimentari Disteco, located in Granollers (Barcelona), grew over 7% during the last financial year 2012, the year that the group changed both its corporate name and its shareholders. More concretely, the company closed last year with a turnover of 5.8 M €, which translates into an increase of 7.2% compared to 5.41 M obtained in the immediately preceding period.

It should be recalled here that, since the middle of last financial year, the group works under the mentioned social name Grup Alimentari Disteco after operated, until that date, as Exclusives Disteco. Parallel to this modification, there was both a shareholder and the administrative body reorganization. Thus, Pedro Carvajal Canela became the sole director of the company, continuing as majority shareholder of it (58.65%). For their part, Angel Durán (23.6%) and the entity of ANEC de l’Emporda (17.75%) abandoned the capital stock. So, today, together referred to Pedro Carvajal, the rest of the capital stock of Grup Alimentari Disteco is distributed as follows: autocartera (20%) and Judcar, SL (22.35%).

Its sphere of action is circumscribed by the province of Barcelona, where operates two warehouses with a combined area of 1,200 m2, from which serves around 1,800 customers.
